Convert Downstairs Toilet To Utility Room

Remove items from your laundry room.
Convert downstairs toilet to utility room. This project has been one of our favorite and a very new kind of project because it wasn t a laundry room to begin with at all. Whether you re adding a toilet and shower to your garage as part of an overall remodel or you just want to make your utility space more functional you have a major project on your hands and you probably know that. We re did our kitchen and the downstairs utility at the same time and installed a downstairs shower moving the washing machine tumble drier into the new kitchen. I am so thrilled to be sharing some after photos with you today of our laundry room we have been renovating.
I wouldn t go back to not having a downstairs toilet. Start with a blank slate to transform your former laundry room into a new bathroom. Maybe you remember it used to be a 4th bathroom off of our kitchen dining room. We used to have a downstairs utility of sorts it was a fairly cramped room with toilet sink washing machine tumble drier in it.
Utility room in family home with high ceiling. Use a dolly to wheel out the washer and dryer. If you ve inherited a loft conversion from a former owner and are dissatisfied with the amount of full height space a box dormer is an easy solution that promises to transform the feel of your loft. Just bought a house it is a 3 storey 3 bedroom house.
Add a box dormer to create more full height space. The most troublesome issue you face is drainage especially if the garage is downhill from any available sewage tie in. We don t have a tumble dryer though just washing machine. We moved in 3 weeks ago.
Remove cabinetry unless it is in particularly good shape and will blend with the bathroom conversion. Our is a combined toilet and utility room not huge but i think a little bigger thanyours. There are currently 3x toilets downstairs toilet room middle floor main bathroom top floor en suite. Is there room for perhaps just the washing machine in there.
